South Carolina men’s basketball on outside of AP Top 25 looking in
A win over a first-place team and other poll teams losing last week wasn’t enough to get South Carolina back into the Associated Press Top 25.
The Gamecocks remained in the “receiving votes” category on Monday after beating LSU but losing to Kentucky. USC received 128 votes last week but slipped to 39 votes this week, falling behind No. 24 Texas and No. 25 Baylor. USC was 23rd in the USA Today/coaches’ Top 25 after being 20th last week.
The Gamecocks (21-4, 8-4 SEC) are at Missouri on Tuesday and host Florida on Saturday.
