Gamecocks offer Steven Gilmore, brother of USC great Stephon Gilmore
South Carolina offered a scholarship on Saturday to the brother of Gamecocks great Stephon Gilmore.
Steven Gilmore Jr. is a Class of 2018 cornerback who attends South Pointe High in Rock Hill. The USC offer is his first.
The 5-foot-10, 160-pound Gilmore Jr. worked out Saturday at Will Muschamp’s first summer camp of the year, with Stephon looking on.
“It means a lot to me with this being my first offer,” Steven Gilmore said. “I kind of had a feeling USC was going to offer me and I just did good in the drills and one-on-ones, and next thing I knew I had a offer. It meant a lot to me. This is what I have been working hard for and it’s only the beginning.”
Blessed to say I have received my first offer from the University of South Carolina ! #SpursUp #GoCocks pic.twitter.com/uEFflh4SJ0
