South Carolina offensive line coach Shawn Elliott has been searching for replacements for decommitments Paris Palmer and Austin Clark, and he has gotten one in big tackle Blake Camper (6-7, 280) of Virginia Beach, Va.

Camper made an official visit to USC over the weekend and switched his commitment to the Gamecocks from Rutgers.

"I'm a commit to South Carolina," he said on his Twitter page.

Camper has ties to USC head coach Steve Spurrier through his father, who played for Spurrier at Duke. He committed to Rutgers last summer after taking his fourth visit to the campus. He also had offers from East Carolina, Louisville, Maryland, Miami, NC State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and West Virginia.

Camper gives the Gamecocks three offensive linemen in the 2015 class along with Christian Pellage and Zack Bailey. And he gives the Gamecocks 29 newcomers in the class.
