Who’s getting the last word with this key defensive line recruit? The Gamecocks

South Carolina has moved its visit with Homerville, Ga., defensive lineman John Mincey to Friday to get the last visit. Gamecocks coaches were supposed to visit Tuesday for a basketball game.

Ole Miss was in Monday with head coach Matt Luke and his entire defensive staff. Tennessee head coach Jeremy Pruitt will be in on Wednesday.

He left his official visit saying he “liked everything they showed me.”

USC's Travaris Robinson and Lance Thompson are scheduled for Friday. Will Muschamp has had his in home visit.

Mincey (6-foot-4, 270 pounds) is 50-50 between the Gamecocks and Vols. Florida State and Ole Miss are seeking a visit this weekend. It's possible he will take one but not likely considering his basketball schedule and the fact they have a chance to win a region championship.

Mincey could have a decision this weekend or the process could roll over to next week.
