South Carolina knows four more non-conference opponents and dates.

The Gamecocks will play in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Women’s Challenge from Nov. 20-27, USC announced on Thursday. The Gamecocks will host Hampton, Maine and St. Peter’s at Colonial Life Arena from Nov. 20-22 and then travel to Springfield, Mass., to take on Louisville on Nov. 27.

“We’re excited to be part of the Basketball Hall of Fame Women’s Challenge and to face great competition early in the season,” USC coach Dawn Staley said in a statement. “With three home games and one against a top 5-10 team at a neutral site, it’s a great way to showcase women’s basketball. We’re looking forward to taking our team to the place the game we all love was born and to take on Louisville in Springfield.”

The Cardinals, 26-8 last year and national runners-up in 2013, are the latest national heavyweight to appear on USC’s schedule. USC will begin the season on Nov. 14 at Ohio State, and play four-time defending national champion UConn somewhere in Connecticut (location to be announced) on Feb. 13.

Other known games without dates are hosting Clemson and UCLA, and playing at Texas in the Big 12/SEC Challenge.

In the SEC, the Gamecocks will have a home-and-home series with Kentucky.

The complete non-conference schedule, Staley said on Wednesday, should be released soon. The Gamecocks had one team drop out and have to fill that spot.

The SEC has traditionally released its schedule in mid-August.
