There’s a decision coming from Dreher standout Tevin Mack, and it should be delivered no later than next week, his mother said Tuesday.

Paula Mack added that her son is still considering seven programs and all have been in touch with her or him in recent days. South Carolina is not one of them.

The seven schools still under consideration are Clemson, Georgia, Texas, Kansas, UCLA, West Virginia and North Carolina. Mrs. Mack said she’s taken calls in the last day or two from coaches from Clemson, Kansas, Georgia, Texas, UCLA and West Virginia.

Mack (6-6) made another visit to Georgia this past Sunday.

“He’s been there like 10 times,” his mother said. Mack’s older brother played for Georgia coach Mark Fox when he was at Nevada and Mack considered Georgia strongly the first time around in recruiting before he signed with VCU.

On this visit, according to his mother, Mack met with the entire Georgia staff.

Mack’s mother said the decision will have to come next week because her son has exams the following week, and she wants this out of the way before then. She said no decision would come this week or this weekend.

Mack reopened his recruiting after he was released by VCU following the departure of coach Shaka Smart to Texas.
