Ridge View’s Rogers-Anderson decommits from East Carolina
Ridge View running back/defensive back Latheron Rogers-Anderson announced Saturday he’s decommitted from East Carolina and will open up his recruiting.
Rogers-Anderson verbally committed to ECU after his visit in September. He told 247Sports that ECU wasn’t willing to wait on a low test score he plans to retake in December.
Rogers-Anderson is a three-star recruit and No. 36 prospect in the state by 247SportsComposite. He had 13 offers, including Appalachian State, Colorado State, Coastal Carolina and Cincinnati.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Anderson played his first three seasons at Lakewood before transferring to Ridge View this year.
Rogers-Anderson has played a big role for the Blazers this season on offense and defense, and was selected to the Touchstone Energy North-South All-Star game. He has 803 yards rushing and 10 TDs, including a 123-yard, two-touchdown effort in Friday’s 70-47 win over Wren in the first round of the Class 4A playoffs.
On defense, Rogers-Anderson has 49 tackles and two interceptions.
