‘Sully,’ ‘The Wild Life’ among movies opening in Columbia this weekend
MOVIES OPENING IN COLUMBIA THIS WEEKEND
Opening Friday:
“SULLY” (PG-13): Clint Eastwood directs Tom Hanks in this drama about Chesley Sullenberger, the US Airways pilot who landed a disabled plane on the Hudson River and saved the lives of his passengers.
“MORGAN” (R): A corporate consultant (Kate Mara) must determine the fate of a mysterious artificial being called Morgan (Anya Taylor-Joy), which has begun evolving at a faster rate than anticipated. When Morgan attacks one of her creators, the group surrounding her are pressed to make a decision.
“WHEN THE BOUGH BREAKS” (PG-13): A surrogate mother (Jaz Sinclair) becomes a little too fond of the father-to-be (Morris Chestnut). Regina Hall is the wife caught in the middle.
“THE WILD LIFE” (PG): This animated comedy retells the story of Robinson Crusoe through the eyes of the talking animals that inhabit his island.

“TAIL! SPIN!”: 8 p.m. Friday at Trustus Theatre. Trustus’ new play “Tail! Spin!” chronicles shenanigans by four politicians, including former South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford. The script is comprised of television interviews, e-mails, Tweets, texts and resignation speeches. The play only uses the actual words of the disgraced politicians, their paramours and the skeptical media they tried so hard to “spin.” 520 Lady St. Adults, $25; students, $20. www.trustus.org
