Lost Buddy, gained tacos — and bistro lunches on the Horseshoe
One Taco, Two Taco
There was a bit of sadness in Lexington, with the announcement that Buddy’s Saucy Dogs, 5225 Sunset Blvd., was closed.
But, there was a small upside – an artisan taco restaurant, One Taco, Two Taco, going into the space. Owner Jeff Zona and business partner Arif Rizvi envision 10-15 taco choices, three or four tortas or Mexican sandwiches, and more.
The new eatery is expected to open in early October.
Albert’s Deli
Albert’s Deli has opened a location in the Bank of America Plaza at 1901 Main St.
The location is the second for Albert’s Deli which also operates a food truck in the area. The restaurant’s original location is at 7358 Parklane Road.
barre3
Local barre3 fitness studio owner Lauren Truslow recently opened a second barre3 at 2900 Dreher Shoals Road.
“Expanding into the Lake Murray area was an obvious choice of where our next studio should be,” said Truslow, who opened her first barre3 studio at 3000 Rosewood Drive in October 2014. “Many of our clients drive a very long way to take a barre3 studio class, and I don’t want distance to prevent someone from experiencing this workout. ... Our new location presents an opportunity to create an amazing, inviting space to serve the Lake Murray area.”
A modern evolution of the ballet barre workout, barre3 workouts balance strength training through isometric holds and small, one-inch movements with stretches inspired by yoga and Pilates.
