“DEEPWATER HORIZON” (PG-13): Mark Wahlberg stars in director Peter Berg’s drama about the 2010 offshore drilling explosion in the Gulf of Mexico, the worst oil spill in U.S. history.
“MISS PEREGRINE’S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN” (PG-13): Eva Green is the headmistress at a special school for gifted children in director Tim Burton’s adaptation of Ransom Riggs’ novel.
“MASTERMINDS” (PG-13): A disillusioned armored-truck driver (Zach Galifianakis) tries to pull off an impossible bank heist. Kristen Wiig, Owen Wilson, Kate McKinnon and Jason Sudeikis are his partners in crime. .
“QUEEN OF KATWE” (PG): Mira Nair (“Monsoon Wedding,” “Salaam Bombay!”) directs this fact-based drama about a girl from rural Uganda who became a world-class chess player.

“SKIRMISHES FOR LEXINGTON:” 10 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Saturday, and again starting at 10 a.m. Sunday, at Clinton Sease Farm. This American Civil War Re-enactment and Living History will commemorate the events around Lexington in February 1865 during General William T. Sherman's Carolina's Campaign, from February to April 1865. There will be demonstrations, speakers on the history of the Carolina's Campaign, children's activities, blacksmithing, candle-making, and more. At 1:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, there will be skirmishes between the Federal and Confederate forces, depicting the actions at Two League Crossroads and Red Bank Creek.
