Where to get your Christmas music fix in Columbia
Is it really Christmas without any Christmas music? Get in a festive mood at the following holiday concerts in town.
The Sandlapper Singers: The professional choir will present “Legends: A Christmas Celebration” at two Columbia locations. Christmas concerts have been a holiday tradition since the choir’s founding in 1996, and this year’s program – the first under new artistic director Dustin Ousley – will include traditional Christmas anthems and popular holiday songs.

Taylor Boys X-Mas Extravaganza: Now in its 12th year, the Taylor Boys – Stephen, dad Steve and uncle Joe – put on a night of Christmas cheer and live music benefiting local nonprofit groups.

Jam Room X-mas Party: Details are sparse, but the Facebook event does say it will be a “ferocious” party. In other words, don’t make plans for the morning after.

Jingle Bell Jazz: Celebrated jazz trumpeter Mark Rapp and his quartet will play jazz arrangements of Christmas classics at this swinging holiday concert. Skipp Pearson also will perform.

A Carolina Christmas: A Christmas variety show performed by Doug and Bunny Williams and friends will feature music from a brass quartet, a classical pianist with singers, several country artists and Doug and Bunny playing some of their favorite holiday tunes.
