Depending on the night, dinner and a show in Columbia can run you only the price of dinner, thanks to some live music performances at several of the capital city’s favorite restaurants.

So, to mark this Make Music Month in Columbia, tuck into a quiet, romantic corner for an earful of acoustical tunes while eating Italian, or dive into a booth, grab a burger and jam out to a full band experience.

Tombo Grille

On Monday nights at Forest Acres’ Tombo Grille, $9 gets you a burger, fries and a beer – plus a taste of some local live music. Slap Wore Out performs Monday, June 19 with Don and and Sara Ann Russo on the calendar for Monday, June 26. Tombo also has live music with local guitarist and singer Billy Sloan every Wednesday evening.

Located in a historic 19th-century firehouse on Blanding Street, Villa Tronco features the Palmetto Opera singers from 6-9 p.m. the first Thursday monthly (with required reservations for dining). The third and fourth Thursdays are Broadway Nights, featuring performers singing old Broadway standards and popular new favorites.
