Matchless Coffee Soda, a Nashville, Tennessee-based beverage group, has started a Kickstarter campaign to raise money to expand its brand here by January. The coffee soda starts with a large batch of fresh roasted and brewed coffee that has been flash-chilled. Sakura, a favorite Japanese sushi restaurant, should be opening soon at its new location at 4430 Rosewood Drive. The remodeling is finished, and the sign on the door says they are hiring wait staff.
Carolina Wings and Rib House is opening at 1120 Washington St. This location, in the old Tony’s Pizza space, will be the sixth for the locally owned eatery.
Urban Cookhouse will open Saturday, Aug. 19, at 3000 Devine St. Operating under the “Buy local. Eat Urban” and “Farm to fire to table” slogans, Urban Cookhouse uses locally sourced produce in its menu, which includes items such as lime-marinated steak and rice, wood-fired shrimp kabobs and mixed greens salads.
