ECLIPSE EVE DRIVE-IN MOVIE: 7:30-11:40 p.m. Sunday at Historic Columbia Speedway. It’s an old-fashioned drive-in movie night with an educational short on the history of eclipses followed by “Escape from Planet Earth.” 2001 Charleston Highway, Cayce. $25 per car. www.columbiaspeedway.com

ECLIPSE EVE BLOCK PARTY AT MUSIC FARM & TIN ROOF IN THE VISTA: 2 p.m. Sunday at Music Farm and Tin Roof. Live music throughout the day and evening. For ages 21 and older. 1022 Senate St. Free day show at Tin Roof, $5 cover at Music Farm in the evening. www.musicfarm.com

SUMMER’S END SOLAR RUN: 6 p.m. Sunday at Saluda Shoals Park. Kick off the solar celebration with a 5K run and 1-mile fun walk through Saluda Shoals Park. Cool off during the run in misting stations and finish up with the Summer’s End Celebration by enjoying local food, live music and craft beers. Proceeds benefit the Saluda Shoals Foundation. WALKING TOURS: 9 and 10 a.m. Sunday, Main Street and Vista locations. Get to know more about Columbia with these guided walking tours. Two are offered – one of Main Street, the other of the historic Vista. Tours last about an hour. $8 for adults, $5 for youth. www.historiccolumbia.org

TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE ART: Noon-3 p.m. Sunday at Columbia Museum of Art. Columbia Museum of Art will help everyone get ready for the total solar eclipse with celestial art. ECLIPSE EXPERTS: “MYTH, HISTORY AND SCIENCE:” 2-4 p.m. Sunday at USC’s Swearingen Engineerring Center. Come to the University of South Carolina for a series of short talks from faculty and visiting scholars on how eclipses have factored into myths and legends throughout history. Experts will also speak about the tumultuous sun and share their experiences of past eclipses around the world. Each talk is 30 minutes or less. 301 Main St. Free.
