Lil’ Kim to headline Famously Hot SC Pride in Columbia

“Light It Up!” is the theme of this year’s Famously Hot SC Pride event, and the lineup may just set the stage on fire.

Rapper Lil’ Kim will headline the 2017 event. Others in the lineup – announced over the weekend at the Famously Hot SC Pride President’s Ball fundraiser – include Debby Holiday, Jody Watley, Sabrina Johnston, Betty Who and Alissah Brooks.

A handful of famed drag performers from RuPaul’s Drag Race are also scheduled performers. The lineup includes The Only Detox, Phoenix, Trinity Taylor, Latrice Royale, Mimi Imfurst and Miss Kennedy Davenport. Local drag queen Paris Lefaris is also on the bill.

The festival is noon-7 p.m. Oct. 21 on Main Street, and a nighttime parade is Oct. 20. The events are free.

“Make no mistake, this is one of the most exciting lineups we have ever had, and yet, still very diverse; something for everyone!” March said in a statement on Facebook. “Throughout the day, we will have speakers to enlighten, educate and motivate our LGBT community and many allies who come to support us.”
