Donate your solar eclipse glasses for a good cause
The SC State Museum is collecting gently used or unused eclipse glasses during a collection drive this weekend.
All eclipse glasses collected will be donated to Astronomy Without Borders for institutions and schools that are underserved in South America and Asia when the next eclipses cross those continents in 2019.
Drop off glasses from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday; noon-5 p.m. Sunday; and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday. The museum is at 301 Gervais St.

Guests visiting the museum during this time will receive $2 off a combo ticket to the museum for any donation of glasses.
