Music in the Midlands, April 2-8
Tish Hinojosa
From Texas, Hinojosa has built up a collection of music that mixes bluegrass, folk and a contemporary Tex-Mex style. From a young age, she began crafting her own songs in English and Spanish, bringing a diverse sound to both languages. Hinojosa has had the distinction of playing at the White House, as well as with artists such as Dwight Yoakam and Pete Seeger. Her most recent album, “After the Fair,” was penned after a trip to Germany where she allowed the districts, restaurants and lifestyle inspire her latest creation.
