Now that spring is finally here, you can enjoy the weather by attending a Gamecocks baseball game.

The Gamecocks take on Appalachian State Tuesday, April 7. Gametime is 7 p.m.

Forecasts put Tuesday’s weather in the low 80s, perfect for spreading a blanket on the Bi-Lo berm or sitting in the stands at Carolina Stadium. The Gamecocks are in the middle of their season.

South Carolina faces a strong lineup of Southeastern Conference opponents this year with four members currently in Baseball America’s top 25. The Gamecocks dropped out of the ranking this week. Appalachian State is a less intimidating foe, with a record of 9-23 going into an Easter weekend series against Troy. South Carolina is 20-11 after this weekend’s series against Mississippi State, which saw three high-scoring games in Starkville, Miss. The Gamecocks won one.

Tickets for the game can be purchased at the Carolina Stadium box office or at gamecocksonline.com. Reserved seating costs $12 and reserved bleacher seating and general admission tickets cost $10.
