It’s time for Indie Grits

INDIE GRITS KICK-OFF PARTY AND COMMUNITY GALLERY RECEPTION: 6-11 p.m. Wednesday at the Columbia Museum of Art, 1515 Main St. This year’s theme is Future Perfect. Event will feature GritMan, a live interactive game based on PacMan; drinks from the Whig, refreshments from the Wurst Wagen, Sweet Cream, Island Noodles and San Jose; performances by Helado Negro and Hectorino, Future Perfect artwork by Julie Henson in the community gallery and Future Perfect film screenings in the Mini Cine in Boyd Plaza. THE OFFICIAL BLUES BROTHERS REVUE: 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Newberry Opera House, 1201 McKibben St., Newberry. The only duo sanctioned by Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi’s widow, Judith, to don the official hat and sunglasses and walk in the legendary footsteps of Jake and Elwood Blues.
