Warhols are coming to Columbia.

The late modern pop artist’s portrait work, “From Marilyn to Mao: Andy Warhol’s Famous Faces,” will be on view beginning June 12 through Sept. 13 at the Columbia Museum of Art.

The exhibition will feature 46 of the artist’s most famous portraits, including 10 “Mao” portraits, of the longtime leader of China’s Communist Party. The portraits are indicative of Warhol’s playfulness with color and contrast.

The “Mao” portraits will remain at the Columbia Museum of Art, thanks to an anonymous gift.

Other silkscreen portraits in the exhibit include actress Maryilyn Monroe, Albert Einstein, Theodore Roosevelt and Superman. Most of the portraits are on loan from the Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh.
