Go Columbia

1 evening, 2 people, 50 bucks: Dining out on value meals in the Midlands

kkfoster@thestate.com

Where can a couple dine out for $50 (or less) in Columbia? Most restaurants have daily specials, happy hours or certain days of the week set aside for discounted dinners (hint, usually NOT on Fridays or Saturdays), so plan accordingly.

Here are some suggestions:

The Specials

Tombo Grille at 4517 Forest Drive has nightly specials, such as Monday Burger Night ($9 for a certified Angus beef burger and a beer); Tuesdays feature $5 pizzas and $15 bottles of wine; and Thursdays are date night, where $49 gets a three-course dinner for two. (803) 782-9665.
