Check out ‘Laser Beatles’ before McCartney’s concert

To get yourself psyched for Thursday’s concert at Colonial Life Arena headlined by Paul McCartney, head to the Second Shift Twosday event at the State Museum.

Starring at the BlueCross BlueShield Planetarium, “Laser Beatles: Across the Universe,” takes you through the Fab Four’s musical notebook, including “Yellow Submarine,” “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” and “Across the Universe.”

In addition, guests are eligible to enter a drawing to win two free tickets to see McCartney in concert.

The show is at 7 p.m. The State Museum is at 301 Gervais St. General admission after 5 p.m. is two for $10; the Boeing Observatory will be open until 10 p.m. for night viewing (planet hunting for Venus, Jupiter and Saturn). (803) 898-4921; www.scmuseum.org
