Five Points will rock the night
If the Paul McCartney concert isn’t part of your Thursday night plans, you can still enjoy live music in downtown Columbia.
The Five Points Association will host its monthly Five After Five outdoor concert Thursday evening, June 25, in Five Points . The summer concert series is free and family-friendly.
Thursday’s musical lineup includes Charleston-based pop band Brave Baby and The Soulfeathers, a band with Clemson roots whose music combines elements of rock, blues, jazz, funk and soul. Young concertgoers can take a break from dancing to enjoy balloon animals, face painting, sidewalk chalk and bubbles.
Food vendors on site will include Casey’s Big Dawg BBQ & Barkmobile and The Haute Dog Lady. Wash down those tasty snacks with craft beers from Brewery 85, Conquest Brewery, Palmetto Brewery and Swamp Cabbage.
Concertgoers also can enjoy a “wine walk” through the Five Points business district. Shops and businesses will offer complimentary wine samples and sales on their merchandise. Several arts and crafts vendors and civic groups will be on hand to share their work.
Remaining dates in the Five After Five concert series include July 23 and August 27 from 6:30-10 p.m. Concerts take place at the Five Points fountain. Parking is available on all streets in Five Points and is free after 6 p.m. Pets are welcome, but coolers are not.
