Heathwood Hall Episcopal School offers camps each week of the summer break. They can range from Lego City and Whitewater Kayak Adventure to Algebra and Geometry review. CAROLINA RIVER CONNECTION: Basic canoe, sea/rec and whitewater kayak instruction and rentals. Five guided trips for all levels of paddlers, including half-day, full-day and overnight trips. Meals are provided, and ages 8 and under paddle for free. Paddle the Saluda, Congaree, Edisto and Enoree rivers.100 Pleasant Drive, Lexington; (803) 807-8078 .

SESQUICENTENNIAL STATE PARK: Children’s nature programs, 10 a.m. Wednesday at 9564 Two Notch Road. Programs will focus on the plants and animals found at the park, children ages 6-10 will explore a different topic each week. Meet at the park office and dress appropriately for being outdoors. $5 per participant (children must be accompanied by an adult); registration deadline is three days prior to each program.
