Happy Hour History at Seibels House

“Mary Poppins”

Historic Columbia’s Dollar Sunday
Richland and Lexington county residents can tour the Robert Mills House for just $1. Each month, Historic Columbia chooses one of its four house museums to feature for Dollar Sunday. Admission to tour additional homes is $8 for nonresidents, $5 for youth, free for members.

“McKissick and You: Collecting What Matters”
This exhibit highlights objects acquired by McKissick over the past three years, including artwork by Tom Feelings, political memorabilia, an early Cocky costume, baskets by Mary Jackson and Nancy Basket, a batik by artist Leo Twiggs, 19th-century pottery and textiles, and items from Richard Dominick’s laboratory at The Wedge.

“From Marilyn to Mao: Andy Warhol’s Famous Faces”
A thematically focused look at the artist’s influential screen prints uses 55 of Warhol’s famous portraits to explore pop art’s tenet of the cult of celebrity, the idea that pop culture adores the famous simply because they are famous. Free with membership or admission.

Laser Fun
An assortment of family-friendly songs by various artists set to a laser light show. Guests will take a laser journey from The Beatles’ “Octopus’s Garden” at the bottom of the sea to the far reaches of space in “Lost in Space” by John Williams.

“Blooming Butterflies”
Visit EdVenture’s living exhibit and explore the world of these fascinating insects. This 2,500-square-foot exhibit is filled with dozens of species of trees and plants to showcase the lifespan of more than 20 species of butterflies native to the Southeast. Check out the bloom room and observe chrysalises and emerging butterflies. $11.50. Free for members.

Mid-Summer Food Truck Festival
