Conundrum Music Hall will offer two more opportunities Sunday to see “Compromised,” filmmaker Tom Hall’s documentary about the political forces behind the Confederate flag saga in South Carolina.

The 90-minute film explores the memorials, grave markers, statues, and symbols on the State House grounds dedicated to the Confederacy and examines the reasons why the General Assembly voted to remove the flag from State House dome in 2000 to place it on a Confederate memorial on Statehouse grounds, facing the corner of Main and Gervais streets.

Hall, a Columbia lawyer, is a descendant of a Confederate soldier and Thomas Wade Moore, who signed the S.C. Articles of Secession. He spoke at rallies calling for the flag’s removal after the shooting of nine black church members in Charleston, and plans to donate all proceeds from the screening to Emanuel AME Church in Charleston. He will be on hand after both screenings for a question-and-answer session.

The screenings of “Compromised” will be at 4 and 7 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $10 each and available through conundrum.us or at the door. Seating is limited. Conundrum is located at 626 Meeting St. in West Columbia.
