Mark your calendar for Aug. 29: Freeway Music Festival lineup announced
More than 15 entertainers will be performing at the Music Farm and Tin Roof as part of this year’s Freeway Music Festival on Aug. 29.
Among performers are Villanova/Weaving the Fate (currently releasing a new album), Seventy-Six and Sunny, Danielle Howle, Prettier Than Matt, and the jazz ballet “Woven,” which recently sold out Harbison Theater. Also performing and celebrating the release of a new album is the Reggie Sullivan Band.
Gates open at 12:30 p.m., with the first act set for 2:45 p.m. The show runs until after 11 p.m.
The event’s main purpose is to raise funds for musical scholarships through the Conner Foundation for children who would not otherwise be able to afford private lessons. Last year’s festival raised more than $7,000.
Tickets are $10, in advance and $12 at the door. See the web site for details: http://freewaymusicfestival.com
