Debbie and The Skanks
Columbia-based garage rock band Debbie and The Skanks headline New Brookland Tavern on Saturday. The band is guitarist Joe Roberts, lead singer Deborah Adedokun, bassist Brett Kent and Adam Cox. Fellow Columbians ET Anderson and The Ugly Chords fill out the lineup. ET Anderson combines psychedelic ’60s and R&B grooves, while The Ugly Chords delves into experimental punk sounds. $6 over 21, $8 under 21.

Jerry Sims and Gypsy Jazz Band: Jerry Sims, owner of Sims Music in Columbia, is a jazz guitarist and a master of the seven-string guitar. The Columbia QuadSquad and Richland County Regulators compete Thursday night at Music Farm. At stake will be slots in the 2016 Pin-Ups and Pets Calendar, a fundraising effort to benefit Pawmetto Lifeline and the homeless dogs and cats in the community. Come out and cheer on your favorite team and help choose the 12 pin-ups. Three bands will perform. Tickets: $20 in advance, $25 at the door.
