Corey Smith at Music Farm Columbia

Country singer-songwriter Corey Smith headlines the Music Farm Columbia on Aug. 26 with opening act The Railers.

The Jefferson, Ga., native recently released his 10th album, “While the Gettin’ Is Good.” The personal songs explore themes of love, self-discovery and hometown pride that sound more mature but just as good as previous hits like “Drinkin Again.”

“I feel like the more honest I am, the more transparent I am, the more people can identity with the music at different points in their life,” Smith said in a phone interview.

His brand of relatable tunes has become as much of a trademark as his dark sunglasses, which he is is rarely without.

Catch the show at 9 p.m. Wednesday at Music Farm Columbia, 1022 Senate St. $20-$25, www.musicfarm.com.
