Music in the Midlands, Sept. 18-19
Future at Township Auditorium
Nayvadius Cash, aka Future, is a top rapper from Atlanta who sings in an Auto-Tune-assisted style.
His sophomore album, “Honest,” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Top Rap Albums charts when it was released in April 2014.
That year, he also was nominated for seven BET Hip Hop Awards and won Best Club Banger for collaborative street track “Move That Dope.”
His third effort, “DS2,” dropped this summer at No. 1 on the Billboard’s overall Top 200 chart.
In other words, his coming to Columbia is a pretty big deal.
See the hip-hop star at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18 at The Township Auditorium, 1703 Taylor St. Tickets are $50-$126. www.thetownship.org
