Rusted Root to perform at Newberry Opera House

Rusted Root, an acoustic rock group with African and Latin American influences, plays at Newberry Opera House Tuesday.

The band is best known for its 1994 hit “Send Me On My Way.”

The six-piece outfit formed in Pittsburgh in 1990 and features frontman Michael Glabicki, percussionist Liz Berlin, bassist Patrick Norman, guitarist Dirk Miller and drummer Corey Caruso.

Rusted Root will be joined by the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, a famous New Orleans brass ensemble whose name is synonymous with energetic performances.
