Events
Bovinoche at Magnolia Lodge: 1-6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22 at 631 Longtown Road in Ridgeway. Join Jeff Bannister, Tom Hall and Kristian Niemi for a day of whole-animal grilling, paella and oysters. Live music from The Mustache Brothers, Punctual Troubador and others; River Rat beers; and cocktails from Bourbon. Bring a chair or a blanket; limited overnight camping spaces are available.
Bannister started Bovinoche in Simpsonville in the Upstate a few years ago and has used the event as a fundraiser for area charities. Proceeds from this event are to benefit The Barklay School at Magnolia Farm, a school for children with learning challenges. The money raised will help build a working commercial/educational kitchen where students can learn culinary skills and the staff can produce wholesome meals.
Tickets are $75. 631 Longtown Road, Ridgeway. icookwholecows.com
