New Brookland Tavern to host country, rock, other artists in concert

An eclectic concert sure to entertain music fans – from country lovers to rock music enthusiasts – is coming to the Midlands Wednesday.

The show at New Brookland Tavern will feature Blind Joe, ELISIUM, Prettier than Matt, Chase Asmer and Paul Britt. The cover charge is $10, and the show is open to people of all ages.

Blind Joe, who actually is blind, hails from Minnesota and was featured on the NBC talent competition show “The Voice” this year. He is known for his original country music sound and has played four cross-country tours.

ELISIUM is a three-piece band from Virginia known for playing a blend of dark rock and modern metal.

Prettier than Matt is a self-described edgy and sweet duo that plays a mixture of lively rock, folk and pop.

Management company Music Mind Productions is calling Wednesday’s concert “one of our most unique shows.”

New Brookland Tavern is at 122 State St., West Columbia. Doors open at 8 p.m., with the show starting at 8:45 p.m.
