Jazzy Christmas tunes await at Trustus Theatre Tuesday

The Mark Rapp Quintet will present a grooving, swinging Christmas concert at Jingle Bell Jazz at Trustus Theatre Tuesday.

Celebrated jazz trumpeter Mark Rapp and four fellow musicians will play jazz-infused Christmas classics as well as contemporary holiday tunes.

Rapp has performed in jazz festivals around the world and with various artists from Branford Marsalis to Hootie and the Blowfish. He has released five recordings, and is a featured artist in Mellen Press’ “How Jazz Trumpeters Understand Their Music.”

Prepared arrangements at Jingle Bell Jazz will include “Angels We Have Heard on High,” “O Come All Ye Faithful,” “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer,” and “Wham!’s Last Christmas.”
