MOVIES OPENING IN COLUMBIA THIS WEEKEND

“Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens” (PG-13): J.J. Abrams takes over for George Lucas in the continuing adventures of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo and a host of new characters we know nothing about.

“Sisters” (R): Two siblings (Tina Fey and Amy Poehler) throw one last bash at the house they grew up in before their parents sell it to new owners.

“Alvin and the Chipmunks: Road Chip” (PG): The chatty chipmunks accompany their live-action pal (Jason Lee) on a trip to Miami.
