Music in the Midlands: R. Kelly, Yonder Mountain String Band
R. Kelly
R. Kelly has been called one of the most successful artists of all time, and with more than 40 million albums sold worldwide, you can say he’s earned the title King of R&B. And he’s not a nostalgia act, either. Last year, Kelly scored his 12th Billboard No. 1 Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart with “The Buffet.” (Although, we still love “I Believe I Can Fly,” “Ignition” and “I’m A Flirt.”)
