What’s 250 pounds, sings and wears high heels?

A typical contestant in theWoman-less Beauty Pageant.

The Cayce-West Columbia Jaycees present the fourth annual pageant, which features men competing in a non-traditional beauty pageant and benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The event is Tuesday at Tin Roof.

The contestants each sing a song and participate in a question-and-answer segment hosted by Columbia’s pre-eminent drag queen Patti O’Furniture.

Winners will be selected by their presentation, talent and the amount of money they raise for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Contestants gather donations during their performances and the one with the most donations at the end will be crowned Miss LLS.

The atmosphere is always fun and entertaining with plenty of audience participation, said Jaycees national membership director Heather Vardell, who is co-chairing the project.

“One contestant one year did the Wobble [a popular dance], but had no idea how to actually do the Wobble,” Vardell said. “Luckily the audience did.”

In addition to the contest, there will be a performance by Jet Lag Jones and a specialty cocktail made for the event.

7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Tin Roof, 1022 Senate St. Free. https://www.facebook.com/events/179246069112647/
