Dr. Debra Mitchell’s experiences in health care have all led her to the new role of her life – serving as medical director and co-owner of The Endless Vitality Aesthetic Center, which opened last month in Forest Acres.

Mitchell, a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina School of Pharmacy and the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, is board certified in internal medicine and is a diplomate in the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. She is also medical director of Tidewater Hospice in West Columbia.

Prior to becoming a physician, Mitchell practiced pharmacy for several years. She is a member of the American Academy of Aesthetic and Cosmetic Physicians. Mitchell’s interest in skin rejuvenation and healthy aging has led to her work in the field of bio-identical hormone replacement therapy.

Mitchell lives in Columbia with her husband, Chuck Reedy, daughter, Payton, and dog, Princess.

EAT: I am definitely a frequent flier at M Kitchen at Harbison. Fresh, delicious and healthy Asian fusion food fills the menu and owner Michelle Wang and her staff go the extra mile to make your dining experience exceptional. The miso salmon is fantastic and I don’t even like salmon.

DRINK: Cocktails and a diversity of wine at the Motor Supply Co. Bistro are a must. The talented bartenders keep the cocktail list interesting and the wine is one-of-a-kind. This is the perfect place to unwind after a long week.

PLAY: Saying I love to shop is an understatement. Columbia is full of many unique boutiques and shops. My favorites are Mainstream Boutique on Devine Street, Gwen Rawls Italian Shoes in Trenholm Plaza and Nifty Gifty on Lake Murray. There’s something for everyone at these quaint stores.

SEE: Even though my husband coached football at Clemson University in the past, I am a big Gamecock fan. From football to women’s basketball there is always something to cheer about.

LISTEN: The sounds of Lake Murray in the summer are blissful. From the screams of excited tubers on the lake to the relaxing lapping of the water against the shore, Lake Murray is full of fun and relaxation. Not many cities in this country are blessed with such an amazing natural attribute.
