Riverbanks Zoo members will have the opportunity for a sneak peak at the new sea lion exhibit before it opens to the public next month.

The members-only drop-ins are set for 3-8 p.m. May 16-20 at Sea Lion Landing, with its San Francisco pier look. Members arriving after 5 p.m. also will have an opportunity to see the Zoo’s grizzly bears and river otters. Members must present a valid member ID at the gate; guest passes will not be accepted.

Sea Lion Landing will open to the public June 9. It is part of the zoo’s $36 million development project. Other features in the project include Waterfall Junction, which opened in April; a new entrance and gift shop; and river otter and grizzly bear exhibits.
