She is the proud owner of two beautiful standard poodles, Suzie and Hank, and recently rescued another poodle and a Kerry blue terrier.

EAT: I love to eat fresh, real organic food. When it comes to a great meal, we prefer to make it ourselves, and if we want a healthy, memorable meal, you have to get the best ingredients. We love 14 Carrot in Lexington to help with our culinary needs. The food is mostly locally sourced, fresh and organic. My family enjoys robust fruits and vegetables in our salads and wild-caught seafood.

PLAY: There is one place in Lexington (where I) really play hard, grow and learn a lot about myself: Pink Lotus Yoga Center located in the Old Mill. I enjoy professional yoga, and the staff there are seasoned and continually learning. I enjoy the yoga immensely, but more importantly, I am always learning new things about myself. They have all kinds of neat programs from paddleboard yoga on Lake Murray (to) wear-your-baby yoga, prenatal yoga and swing yoga. If you’re looking for something new and exciting, this is the place to be.

SEE: I like to see and be near the water. Every year, we take a trip to Fripp Island for a week or sometimes longer. We enjoy the ocean and all the fruits it has to offer – fresh shrimp scallops and crabs. I even do some yoga paddleboarding with my sister while there. Great place to relax with the family and let the day come and go with no schedule.

DRINK: Great food always needs to be paired with great wines. When we can we spend nights out Terra – an excellent restaurant located in downtown Columbia. The cuisine is fresh, local and delicious. They make this culinary experience even better with their prestigious wine selection. If you like a great pinot noir, I recommend trying the King Estate, a wine that delivers a great experience at a reasonable price.

LISTEN: I like to go out on the boat and drop by Liberty (on the Lake), Frayed Knot and Catfish Johnny’s on Lake Murray to enjoy the different bands on the weekends.
