Music in the Midlands: Infinite Room, Barnwell, Smoke ‘N Jazz Dinner
Infinite Room: Alarm Drum (single release) with Husband and The Lovely Few
Alarm Drum was once described as a group of teenagers with a dark and drone-y sound. Now, the group blends contemporary styles to create catchy, dance-worthy songs with an art-rock ethos.
Adam Corbett and his wife, Rebekah Rice, are Husband, an experimental electronica duo from Columbia. Combining live instruments and various iPad apps, the couple builds densely layered chaotic pop tunes.
The Lovely Few is an electronic-folk-pop trio formed in 2005 by Mike Mewborne. The band released “Long Division” in 2007, regrouped in 2009, and by 2010, released “The Limited Abilities of Man.”
