Music in the Midlands: The Acacia Strain, Danielle Howle Band
The Acacia Strain
It’s going to get loud in New Brookland Tavern when popular metal band The Acacia Strain brings its hardcore metal music to town. Since forming in 2001, the band has gone through several lineup changes, leaving vocalist Vincent Bennett as the only original member.
But don’t fear (or do), there’s still plenty of dark, rumbling lyrics and focused hostility to go around. They will perform with metal bands Oceano, Knocked Loose, Culture Killer and To The Wind.
6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7 at New Brookland Tavern, 122 State St. West Columbia. $18 advance; $20 day of show. www.newbrooklandtavern.com
