Her opponents included an Ivy Leaguer from the University of Pennsylvania and a student from the California Institute of Technology, better known as Caltech.

Before Harris’ appearance LR5 said on Twitter, “We are cheering you on and so proud!

“Let’s go, Emmey,” the school district tweeted.

Eight-time “Jeopardy” Champion Ben Ingram from Florence, South Carolina congratulated Harris on her win and called her victory a “Chamberlainesque performance.”

The popular trivia-based game show began a run of episodes with college students as contestants on Tuesday. Harris now moves on to the semifinals of the “Jeopardy!” National College Championship.

Harris is currently a sophomore at the University of Minnesota where she is history major. She’s scheduled to graduate in 2024.
