If you’ve traveled along Clemson and Killian roads in Northeast Columbia, you may have noticed a hive of contruction among the outparcels that surround the Kroger Marketplace. Since May of this year, McDonald’s, Chick-fil-A, Hardee’s, Applebee’s, Panda Express and Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers have opened along Roberts Branch Parkway. The new road runs parallel to Killian Road and will be the main navigation route through the Killian’s Crossing development.
The 400-acre site contains 38 outparcels of possible retail, residential and commercial space and while some have already been taken by big name national chains, others are under construction or still for lease.
Two of the businesses close to completion include Posh Nail Spa and Firehouse Subs. These two businesses will be located side-by-side in a small strip center behind Chick-fil-A, just off Ellie Drive. According to Colliers International, the real estate company handling the Killian’s Crossing site, that section of the shopping center will offer spaces from 1,000 sq. ft. to 13,500 sq. ft.
Salsarita’s Fresh Mexican Grill will be opening in an outlying section directly in front of Kroger.
