150 new jobs are opening at this Richland County brewery — but you have to apply soon

A new brewery in Richland County needs to fill more than 150 jobs early next year.

Mark Anthony Brewing, best known for making White Claw Hard Seltzer and Mike’s Hard Lemonade, is holding a jobs fair to hire for its new S.C. brewing facility at Pineview Industrial Park.

The company will conduct in-person interviews from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 10, at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center, 1101 Lincoln St.

Mark Anthony Brewing is looking for people with various levels of experience, education and skill levels, from entry level to highly skilled brewery operations roles, the company said in a press release. Open positions include brewing operator, maintenance planner/scheduler, maintenance technician, packaging operator and lead, quality lab technician, utility technician and warehouse clerk.

Job-seekers re being asked to apply online before Monday, Jan. 3. Walk-ins are welcome at the event but won’t be guaranteed an interview without an application.

Mark Anthony announced plans for the $400 million brewery in November 2020, with a goal of creating 300 jobs.

The facility makes hard seltzers, the alcoholic drink that has exploded in popularity in recent years. Hard seltzers are mostly low calorie, gluten-free, ready to drink and brightly packaged cans of fermented cane sugar or malted barley with added flavors, according to drinksbusiness.com . A can of White Claw is 5% alcohol by volume.
