Freddy’s Steakburgers announces third Midlands location

Fast-casual restaurant, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, recently broke ground on a third Columbia metro location.

The new site in Irmo is slated to open this spring at 10611 Broad River Rd. The popular retro-style concept has two other area restaurants, one at 457 Killian Rd. in Columbia and another at 2879 Sunset Blvd. in West Columbia.

“The feedback that we have received from our first two area sites has been extremely positive, so we look forward to bringing Freddy’s closer to guests in the Ballentine/Irmo,” said Brett Rickert, franchise owner. “Our proximity to I-26 makes us a convenient lunch or dinner spot for guests driving to and from Columbia.”

The 3,010 square-foot, freestanding restaurant will seat 96 guests and will have additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service will also be available.

Freddy’s is known for its lean ground beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is churned fresh throughout the day.
