Here’s the newest business making moves on Columbia’s Main Street
A salon specializing in eyebrow care and facials is moving to the 1500 block of Main Street, across the street from the Columbia Museum of Art.
Browtopia, which has operated a pop-up shop inside the Miss Cocky women’s clothing store at the corner of Main and Hampton streets for about a year, will move to 1520 Main St., according to signs on the new storefront’s windows.
The new salon will have a grand opening Feb. 7 and might do some soft openings beforehand, said owner Brooke Sanzari.
Browtopia will replace the Sunday & Co. clothing and jewelry boutique, which closed at the end of the year.
The owner of Sunday & Co., which opened in the summer of 2017, is moving her store to New England, where she is from, according to posts on the store’s Facebook page.
Browtopia offers a variety of eyebrow treatments, from trimming and tweezing to masques and a dark chocolate exfoliation. It also offers a variety of facials, hair removal and makeup application.
The new salon is located beneath a row of condos and apartments and just a block from the 850-bed Hub student apartment tower.
Browtopia has a second location in Fort Myers, Fla.
