A 4-year-old South Carolina girl was killed in an Easter Sunday crash, but her twin brother survived, according to officials.

It happened around 12:30 p.m. Sunday on S.C. 302, which is also known as Wagener Road and is in the Wagener area of Aiken County, about 40 miles southwest of Columbia, according to Aiken County Coroner Darryl Ables.

A car described by troopers as a Saturn was traveling east on S.C. 302 when the driver, identified as Dajah Anderson, lost control of the car, Ables said. The car went off the right side of the road and then reentered the roadway, crossing both lanes of traffic before exiting the left side, where it hit a tree.

Ables said 4-year-old Kylee Vinson was pronounced dead at the scene. She had been properly restrained in a car seat in the back seat of the car, the coroner said.

Anderson, her sister and Kylee’s twin brother all were taken to Augusta University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, Ables said. An autopsy on Kylee is expected Monday.

The crash came two days after an infant twin died in a multi-car crash in Columbia. That baby’s twin survived.

“My baby was full of life and joy,” Anderson said in a Facebook post Monday, “we celebrating her life not mourning.”
