First QuikTrip stores are opening soon in the Midlands, and they’re seeking employees
QuikTrip, a popular gas station and convenience store chain, is about to open its first stores in the Midlands, and they’re looking for their first employees.
Full-time and part-time positions are available as the stores seek applicants for store clerks and assistant managers in the Columbia area.
QuikTrip plans to open soon in these Midlands locations:
- 8205 Two Notch Road, Columbia
- 10320 Wilson Blvd., Blythewood
- 111 Millennium Drive, Orangeburg
- 925 South Lake Drive, Lexington
The Columbia store is expected to open in October, with the Blythewood and Orangeburg stores following within the next couple monhts, according to a QuikTrip spokesperson. The Lexington store is slated to open in early 2021.
Until now, there have been no QuikTrip stores within 50 miles of South Carolina’s capital. QT, as the brand is commonly known, is popular among travelers for its wide selection of hot foods, including pizzas, biscuits and tacos.
At least one other QuikTrip location has been planned in the Columbia area, on Spears Creek Church Road near Elgin.
“As QuikTrip continues to grow, we need to continue expanding our employee base. We are excited to grow in Columbia and the surrounding area and find new employees who are focused on excellent customer service and carrying out our brand in our stores,” Young Nguyen, QuikTrip’s Greenville Division personnel manager, said in a news release.
