A new Lexington restaurant for ramen, other Japanese dishes has set an opening date
A new spot for ramen and other Japanese dishes and drinks is set to open its doors in Lexington.
Taipo Ramen House will open on Thursday, Feb. 16, according to posts on the restaurant’s Facebook page and signs posted on the front door of the business. The restaurant is located at 5341 Sunset Blvd. suite C in Lexington. That’s in the Topspin Plaza center that includes El Jimador Mexican restaurant and a number of other businesses.
The menu at Taipo includes a number of ramen noodle dishes. Among them is the spare ribs ramen, which has a rich pork bone broth with a shoyu base and includes spare ribs, a slice of grilled pork, marinated egg, bean sprouts and green onions.
The restaurant also has a host of rice bowls, including a pork chashu bowl that comes with slow-braised pork chashu, wood ear mushrooms , bok choy, marinated egg, green onions and sesame seeds. Taipo also will have a robust menu of boba tea drinks, Japanese sodas, appetizers and more.
Per responses from the restaurant on the Taipo Facebok page, the Sunset Boulevard restaurant is being opened by the same group that owns the Hokkaido Ramen House location at 205 Columbia Ave. in Lexington.
The new ramen restaurant is coming to a bustling Sunset Boulevard corridor that is packed with retail businesses, including grocery stores, restaurants, big box stores and more. It is about a mile east of the Target store in Lexington. Nearly 44,000 cars per day pass down the boulevard in that stretch, per the S.C. Department of Transportation.
